The traditional Southwest chair frame, but made of steel, changed the expected to something unexpected but recognizable.

Placing a tropical bird motif into the chair backs tie these chairs and this space to the landscape. You can look out over the Florida Hillsborough River from these chairs to the Bird Sanctuary beyond.

The bird inspiration came from the land and a scene etched in the glass of the front door. The Southwest inspiration came from the client’s dining chairs.

These custom chairs are taken into the Dining Room when extra seating is needed there.
