Clients living along a tropical river had a wonderful covered porch for entertaining and a major problem with mosquitoes.

They requested screening that would enhance the arched openings and columns yet provide open views to the river.

A plan for entertaining large groups for sit down meals as well as a comfortable space for just family was needed.

The client loved Southwestern Style and wanted to merge it with this tropical setting.

Interiors Unleashed utilized the space at the periphery of the porch for custom built-in bench seating and hidden storage. This allowed full view screening above the benches.

Lower screen panels add support and are only viewed from the exterior. The exterior dark screen supports and panels mimic the dark window frames of the house.

Double screen doors with bird design tie the tropical setting to the custom made Southwestern style chairs with the bird inset into the backs.

Red stripes on bench cushions and the greens and reds of the Southwest on pillows contrast and tie the client’s pottery and plants to the landscape.
